It makes for quite a grand space, full of light, giving the diner a feeling of occasion, whilst at the same time, retaining some of that country pub rusticity that so many of us enjoy. The interior is just as charming and rather classy, centred around a lofty hall with buttressed beams soaring into a steeply pitched roof. What it seems like is a lovely old half-timbered hostelry that has been modernised and refurbished inside but it is actually a complete new build. The overall appearance of the building belies its relative youth. The building, in keeping with its environment, is handsomely appointed and surrounded by grassy lawns, supporting outdoor dining and drinking facilities. ![]() The Betsey Wynne is set in a particularly attractive part of Buckinghamshire, in Swanbourne - one of a string of beautiful villages between Leighton Buzzard and Winslow.
